Join a dynamic staff and volunteer team in delivering excellent programs and services to the community AND develop your skills in preparation to be an Executive Director!   The Rocky Run YMCA is 7 years new serving 15,000 members in a 68,000 square foot building.

 

 

Position Purpose:

Under the direction of the executive director of a large branch, provide leadership in the development and implementation of branch programs that are consistent with the needs of members and the community and are reflective of the YMCA mission and values. Oversee operations and personnel in areas of responsibility.  Provide leadership in implementing member involvement and retention strategies.  Ensure that programs are delivered in accordance with YMCA quality standards.  Ensure positive member experience and a safe, clean environment.  Develop community relationships and represent the YMCA in the community.  Cultivate and develop committed volunteer relationships.

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with at least 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Sr Director Certification preferred.  Ability to pursue leadership and trainer certifications including Executive Development Institute.
  • Supervisory experience with strong leadership skills.  Experience in managing multiple departments and priorities.  Proven ability to manage successful programs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship development skills.  Experience in presenting a case to individuals and groups.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer, communicate via telephone and personally, ability to endure significant physical activity.
