Our Pools:
The Rocky Run YMCA features two pools.
Our main pool is 25 meters with 6 lanes. It begins at three and a half feet and goes to a depth of nine feet. This pool features a handicapped accessible ramp in addition to the traditional ladders. The main pool’s temperature range is 82-84 degrees. Our main pool is used for lap swimming, recreational swimming, swimming lessons and aqua fitness.
Our therapy pool is a warm water hydro therapy environment. The temperature is kept at 88 degrees. The pool can be accessed by a large staircase with multiple hand rails at the shallow end, or by a ladder at the deep end. The shallow end is three feet deep, the deepest point of the pool is five feet. You can do a wide range of exercises, especially with the aid of the hand rails located around the pool. Our therapy pool is used for warm water hydro therapy, aqua fitness and swimming lessons for those under age 3. No one between the ages of 3 and 18 is permitted without the approval of the aquatics director (a medical prescription is the main required step for the approval process).

If mobility is an issue, please feel free to ask for our assistance with our movable chair lift. This lift allows you to simply press a button and be lowered into the pool in a sitting position. Then when you have completed your time in the pool it will lift you back out.
Since the lift is portable it can be used in either pool at almost any point.
